Now that’s involvement! The Burleson Trash Bash drew 459 volunteers today, Sept. 26, 2015. In April 2015, the day after the storms, only 147 people volunteered. The goal of this semiannual campaign is to beautify Burleson. Volunteers of all ages remove litter and debris from retail corridors, waterways, drainage channels, streets, parks, and other public areas. After the cleanup, volunteers head to Warren Park for free pizza and prize drawings. We’ll let you know how many bags/pounds of trash were picked up today when we get those numbers. In the meantime, big shout out to everyone who participated today. You really do CARE about your community, and it shows.
